The First Day of Life!

In exactly two weeks from today, we will be PUPO!

I can't help but think that if this could happen naturally, our child's life would have started right around this moment...

Welcome to the first day of life - little, precious Quant! Hope you're all snuggly in the freezer and we'll finally get to hold you in our arms about 9 months from today!

PS - The money came through yesterday. Haven't heard an update on the status of my family memeber....hope he made it through the night (unless he's in pain and uncomfortable).

Jan 2009 - Start to seek help from RE.
Feb 2009 -Polypectomy #1
March 2009 - Sept 2009 - Drugs, 4 IUIs, Accupuncture - nothing
December 2009 - Travel to Prague for DE IVF #1 - Day 5 transfer - 1 perfect 8-cell and 1 good morula - BFN

2010
January 2010 - Polypectomy #2
February 2009 - Try again - New donor. Hypnotherapy with Lyndsi Eastburn
March 6-10 10 - Travel back to Prague - 5 eggs fertilized - nicknamed the "Quint Quants" - first international trip to Budapest!
March 13, 2010 - 3, 3-day embies transferred.
March 26, 2010 - POAS says BFN.
March 28, 2010 - Still feeling tired, so POAS - BFP!
March 29, 2010 - HCG 153!
April 1 - April 27 - Several HCGs that slowly rise and can see an embro sac on the u/s.
April 28 - Sac disolves and start m/c
April 29 - D&C #1
May - Interview two of the top ferility specialists in the nation and decide Dr. Sch is the right Dr for us - it'll be worth every copper-colored penny when we hold you in our arms next year.
May 29 - Polypectomy #3
June 9 - Full day of testing - 12 vials of blood, u/s, interviews, paperwork - a whirlwind of a day overall.
June - Tests results slowly coming back. Everything looks normal, but egg reserve looks low so decide to go with donor eggs.
June 25 - Endrometrial Biopsy to determine Beta Integrins (like little "suction cups" to hold the embryos). Came back ok - so no depot lupron needed
July 4 - Picked our "helper" to make our dreams come true.
September 18 - Donor had EXCELLENT cycle - 42 retrieved, 28 mature, 22 fertilized, 17 embryos
September 22 - ET - 2 grade 4aa, 15 frozen
September 28 -

on POAS (6dp 5dt),
10/1 -

!!! (9dp 5dt) HCG = 240, P4 = 6.4,
10/26 - No HB
11/3 - D&C #2
November - Tested + for Lupus Anticogulant, MTHFR (normal homocystine).
Dec - start lupron 10 mg, continue baby aspirin, Folbee

2011
1/1/11 - Let the hormones begin! Started 1 Vivelle patch.
Mid-January - E2 too low, so add estrace
01/30/11 - Lining 10mm - too think...
2/11/11 - "Bonus" D&C #3
2/14/11 - Start BCP for FETcycle - can't think of a better day than Valetine's Day!
3/18/11 - FET - 3 fully expanded embryos transferred
4/4/11 - BFP!!! BFP!!
4/7/11 - Start bleeding with clots - oh no, here we go again...
4/8/11 - HOUSTON, WE HAVE TWO HB's!!! It's Twins!!!
5/14/11 - First time hearing one of the HB's via Doppler!
4/20/11 - End of 1st Trimester
7/1/11 - The twinkies are half-baked!
9/25/11 - 30 Weeks Down, 7 to Go - Baby Shower!
